Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Fuel Gas Plant Supervisor position. The Fuel Gas Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the production crew at the Fuel Gas Plant. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure orders are filled and product is available for the scheduled loads
- Ensure that the Acetylene Plant Operators are fully trained, competent, safe, and able to perform their duties
- Ensure all fuel gases are filled according to procedures and regulations
- Ensure that no source(s) of ignition are allowed in the charging or generating rooms
- Ensure that any and all fuel gas leaks are identified and repaired immediately
- Ensure that all customer owned cylinders are monitored, processed immediately, and returned to the proper location
- Hire, discipline, and terminate staff as needed
- Lead, train, develop, and motivate the department employees
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred
- Familiar with OSHA, DOT, and other federal regulations
- Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair on gas distribution systems that are used in the plant
- Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good training skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to effectively supervise and manage personnel
