Forward Deployed Engineer, Agent Studio
About this role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own the end-to-end deployment of AI agents with Nooks' design partner customers, driving measurable revenue impact. This is a rare GM-level seat at a Series B AI company where you'll be building the future of autonomous sales — embedding directly with customers and shipping agent improvements in real time.
What will you be doing?
Deploy and iterate on AI agents (account strategy, prospecting, outbound emails, LinkedIn DMs, call prep, follow-ups) directly with customers — targeting 5x meetings booked within a 1-month trial
Embed deeply with customers via shared Slack channels, calls, and rapid iteration loops — translating field needs into agent improvements the next day
Build agents that fully automate nuanced SDR work, with clear evals, trust calibration, and the ability to learn over time
Own the deployment outcome end-to-end — no playbook, high agency, GM-level accountability for customer revenue numbers
Bridge three audiences in one day: explain agents to sales teams, surface customer needs to engineering, and report deployment status to leadership
Key Requirements
5+ years of engineering experience, ideally as a technical founder, founding engineer, or forward-deployed engineer at a high-bar company
Production AI agent experience — e.g., shipped prompt or tool changes in response to specific user complaints within the same week
High agency and comfort owning outcomes without a clear playbook or heavy PM direction
Strong cross-functional communication — able to speak fluently with sales teams, engineers, and leadership
Based in San Francisco and willing to be in-office 3+ days per week
