Cultivation Role Overview
The Cultivation Assistant is an entry-level, full-time onsite position in Phoenix that provides essential support across the cannabis cultivation cycle. The role exists to help the cultivation team maintain plant health, sanitation, accurate documentation, and consistent execution from propagation through harvest and post-harvest preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support propagation, transplanting, vegetative care, flowering, harvesting, drying, and curing activities
- Complete daily plant care (watering, pruning, defoliation, trellising, staking) and integrated pest management (IPM) tasks
- Observe plant and environmental conditions; escalate indicators of pests, disease, or nutrient issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cultivation rooms, tools, and equipment in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Assist with harvest staging, trimming, weighing, and post-harvest preparation
- Perform basic recordkeeping, including plant movements and activity entries in seed-to-sale tracking software (e.g., METRC)
- Support inventory counts, facility upkeep, and assigned cultivation projects in coordination with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail; strict SOP compliance
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/bend for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including weekends/holidays as needed; must meet state requirements

Daily Workflow
A typical day begins with a structured room check and a review of assigned priorities, with close attention to cleanliness, labeling, and documentation requirements. You will rotate between cultivation areas as the schedule dictates, working steadily through planned tasks while maintaining consistent quality standards.
Throughout the shift, you will coordinate with team leads to confirm timelines, verify counts, and ensure entries are completed accurately in the required systems. The work is hands-on and process-driven, with frequent transitions between benches, racks, and workstations. Days may conclude with staging for upcoming harvest or post-harvest needs, final sanitation steps, and a brief handoff to support continuity across shifts.
