Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM ; Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Tire Technician specializing in heavy equipment and commercial truck tires. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting tires in accordance with the Nexus Tire Maintenance Program and all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain and repair commercial truck and heavy equipment tires in compliance with company standards

Safely operate a service vehicle to respond to tire-related service calls

Install, balance, rotate, and repair commercial and heavy-equipment tires

Inspect tire conditions, adjust air pressure, and ensure proper installation

Maintain accurate tire records and complete all necessary documentation

Conduct out-of-service tire inspections and analysis

Perform tire-related road calls as needed

Inspect scrap, damaged, or obsolete tires

Review failed tires for potential warranty claims

Inspect retread quality and monitor repair standards

Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment

Follow all safety procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

QualificationsA. Education & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as a tire technician (commercial truck)

B. Certificates & Licenses

Valid Texas Driver License

C. Skills & Abilities

Ability to work weekends as needed

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to work mid-shift (10 AM – 7 PM)

Work Environment

Frequent hand, finger, and leg coordination

Physical labor involving handling objects over 30 lbs most of the day

Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs

Outdoor work and driving a service vehicle

Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes
