Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master who will act as a servant-leader and Agile coach for one or more Scrum teams. The Scrum Master will ensure that Scrum principles and practices are well understood and effectively applied, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and continuously improving team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant-leader and coach to the Scrum Team, ensuring adherence to Scrum values, principles, and practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Stand-ups
    • Sprint Reviews
    • Sprint Retrospectives
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is:
    • Well-groomed
    • Clearly defined
    • Prioritized according to business value
  • Identify, track, and help remove impediments that may impact the team’s progress or delivery.
  • Shield the Scrum Team from external interruptions and distractions, enabling focus and productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and open team environment that encourages trust and accountability.
  • Promote continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, learning, and adaptation through retrospectives and Agile practices.
  • Assist in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics, such as:
    • Sprint burndown charts
    • Velocity
    • Delivery forecasts
  • Coach team members on Agile best practices, self-organization, and cross-functionality.
  • Support the organization’s Agile transformation and adoption, working with stakeholders to improve Agile maturity.


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks
  • Proven experience facilitating Scrum events and coaching Agile teams
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve team impediments effectively
  • Experience with Agile metrics and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong mindset of servant leadership and continuous improvement

 

Nice to Have

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting Agile adoption at an organizational level
  • Background working with cross-functional, distributed teams
