About this role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master who will
act as a servant-leader and Agile coach for one or more Scrum teams. The Scrum
Master will ensure that Scrum principles and practices are well understood and
effectively applied, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and
continuously improving team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a servant-leader and coach to the Scrum Team, ensuring
adherence to Scrum values, principles, and practices.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog
is:
- Well-groomed
- Clearly defined
- Prioritized according to business value
- Identify, track, and help remove impediments that may impact the
team’s progress or delivery.
- Shield the Scrum Team from external interruptions and distractions,
enabling focus and productivity.
- Foster a collaborative, transparent, and open team environment that
encourages trust and accountability.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, learning,
and adaptation through retrospectives and Agile practices.
- Assist in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics,
such as:
- Sprint burndown charts
- Velocity
- Delivery forecasts
- Coach team members on Agile best practices, self-organization, and
cross-functionality.
- Support the organization’s Agile transformation and adoption,
working with stakeholders to improve Agile maturity.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks
- Proven experience facilitating Scrum events and coaching Agile
teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management
skills
- Ability to identify and resolve team impediments effectively
- Experience with Agile metrics and reporting tools (e.g., Jira,
Azure DevOps)
- Strong mindset of servant leadership and continuous improvement
Nice to Have
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting Agile adoption at an organizational level
- Background working with cross-functional, distributed teams
