Maximo Technical Lead

Nextlink is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo EAM Technical Consultant to lead the technical design, development, configuration, customization, and integration of IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering scalable and high-quality technical solutions that align with business requirements while supporting implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, integrations, and ongoing system enhancements.

This role requires deep expertise in Maximo architecture, Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), custom development, reporting, and enterprise system integrations, along with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maximo Development & Configuration

• Design, develop, and implement customizations, configurations, and extensions within IBM Maximo EAM.
  
• Configure and maintain Maximo applications, modules, workflows, security groups, escalations, cron tasks, and application designer components.
  
• Develop and enhance Maximo business logic using Automation Scripts (Jython/Python), Java customization, and Maximo Business Objects (MBOs).
  
• Create, modify, and maintain BIRT reports and dashboards to support business reporting requirements.
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  

Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Maximo EAM technical development.
  
• Proven experience in Maximo implementation, upgrade, enhancement, or cloud migration projects.
  
• Experience working in enterprise asset management environments.
  

Required Technical Skills

IBM Maximo Expertise

• Deep understanding of IBM Maximo architecture and core components.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
    
  • Maximo Business Objects (MBO)
    
  • Automation Scripts (Jython/Python)
    
  • Application Designer
    
  • Workflow Designer
    
  • Escalations and Cron Tasks
    

Development Skills

• Strong programming experience in:
  • Java
    
  • SQL
    
  • XML
    
  • JavaScript (preferred)
    
• Expertise in BIRT Report Development and report customization.
  
• Experience developing REST and SOAP-based integrations.
  

Database & Reporting

• Strong SQL querying and database troubleshooting skills.
  
• Experience designing complex reports and dashboards using BIRT.
  

Cloud & Modern Platforms

• Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments such as:
  • IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
    
  • Microsoft Azure
    
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    
• Experience with Maximo Mobile or Maximo Anywhere is an added advantage.
  

Preferred Certifications

• IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management v7.x
  
• IBM Certified Professional – Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
  
• Relevant IBM Maximo technical certifications
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x).
  
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
  
• Experience integrating Maximo with ERP, GIS, SCADA, IoT, or third-party enterprise applications.
  
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum project delivery methodologies.
