Job DetailsJob Location: Branch - North Bend - North Bend, OR 97459The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the branch. Duties will include marketing fuel, lubricants, and other petroleum related products. This position is responsible for daily planning, decision-making, accountability, inventory control, and managing employees, as well as overseeing daily branch administrative functions. The Assistant Branch Manager will work closely with leadership, team members, and other departments to directly benefit branch profitability, efficiency, and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities include

Manage staff proactively to encourage teamwork, efficiency and promote positive attitudes
Local tank-wagon pricing & bulk plant fuel pricing
Monthly inventory count of Lube Oils and Warehouse items
Daily inventory management/ordering - bulk lubricants, bulk petroleum products
Review/oversight of daily driver reports and truck sales reports
Conduct price/freight changes to customer accounts
Oversee daily inventory reconciliation of branch locations
Issue and approve purchase orders for A/P invoices
Oversee internal controls for cash handling, sales orders, product inventory
Communicate with leadership weekly/monthly/annual forecast of branch sales and volume expectations
Assist with annual Capital Expenditure budget recommendations for the branch
Assist in overseeing and scheduling required truck repairs and maintenance
In coordination with leadership, ensure the branch remains in compliance with regulations mandated by Federal, State and Local agencies
Assist leadership with recruiting and new employee interviews as well as making new hire and termination recommendations
Oversee and manage daily employee hours, OT hours, staff scheduling
Set attainable goals for the branch staff. Train/encourage staff to ensure they are knowledgeable and successful

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver’s license with hazmat endorsement preferred, but not required
Minimum 3 years hands on business experience
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
2+ years of supervisory/management of people
Self-motivated, proactive, capable of working as a member of a team, leading teams, and mentoring teams.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills
Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to travel or work remotely as needed

Working Conditions

Majority of work conducted in office environment. May be required to drive in inclement weather
Work schedule may vary and may include occasional work on evenings, weekends, and holidays due to special events, inclement weather, and other projects related to timely distribution of products and services
Work may require employee to lift, bend, stoop, use stairs and pick up/move objects up to 50 lbs.
