About this role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join us.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing network equipment administration at multiple data centers.
  • Performing the routine and emergency maintenance works on network equipment.
  • Dealing with requests from external and internal clients.
  • Directly participating in internal projects (developing network, connecting new locations, implementing new equipment, automation).

Hardware we use

  • Routers: Cisco (65xx, 76xx), Juniper (MX-series), Brocade (MLX-series).
  • Switches: Cisco, Juniper (EX/QFX-series), HP, Arista, Brocade (VDX/ICX-series).
  • Firewalls: Cisco PIX/ASA, Juniper SRX.

Our expectations

  • Proficiency in LAN/WAN principles.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and their functions.
  • Basic: TCP/UDP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, SSH, Telnet, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP.
  • Routing: Static, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP.
  • Switching: VLANs, xSTP, LACP, HSRP/VRRP/etc.
  • Basic knowledge of ОС FreeBSD/CentOS/Debian/Windows.
  • English level sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with customers (Intermediate at least).
  • Ability to learn, communication skills, willingness to take in and analyze large amounts of new information (mostly technical in English).

Will be a plus

  • Certifications from network equipment and software vendors.
  • Experience in telecom and/or hosting.
