The Role:
We are seeking an LNG Cargo Scheduler to be based in the company's Houston office. We are entrepreneurial, fast- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.
As an LNG Cargo Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing vessel movements and inventory levels across various terminals and vessels. Serving as a key liaison between our Downstream Terminals, Commercial LNG, Marine Assurance teams, and inventory management teams, you will ensure seamless communication and collaboration to meet supply demands and maintain operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include planning vessel voyages, managing inventory transfers, and monitoring inventory levels to minimize shortages and optimize storage capacity. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication will be essential in successfully managing vessel schedules and inventory across our maritime logistics network.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
Coordinate end-to-end scheduling and execution of LNG cargo movements from loading terminal to delivery destination.
Develop and maintain cargo schedules while optimizing vessel utilization and delivery commitments.
Liaise daily with LNG terminals, vessel operators, chartering teams, customers, and internal commercial stakeholders.
Monitor vessel positions, voyage progress, terminal availability, and operational constraints.
Coordinate loading and discharge nominations, cargo confirmations, and schedule changes.
Manage schedule disruptions caused by weather, port congestion, vessel delays, operational outages, or market-driven changes.
Support optimization of LNG portfolio positions through cargo swaps, diversions, reloads, and scheduling adjustments.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, terminal procedures, and marine regulations.
Coordinate with gas scheduling teams regarding feedgas availability, inventory management, and cargo readiness.
Prepare operational reports, cargo status updates, and management summaries.
Maintain accurate records within scheduling, trading, and logistics systems.
Participate in after-hours and weekend operational coverage as required by global LNG operations.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Preferred 3-10 years of experience in LNG scheduling, operations, or related field.
Strong understanding of shipping logistics, including vessel operations, terminal operations, and international trade regulations.
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in LNG scheduling and operations.
Proficiency in LNG scheduling software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
