Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Days

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on the day shift. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment where patient care and teamwork are top priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interview patients to determine medical conditions and document findings in charts for physicians
- Obtain and record vital signs and weight
- Assist physicians during patient examinations
- Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up care with patients
- Document services for billing and medical records
- Provide basic patient care including wound dressing, enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages
- Apply compresses, ice packs, and heat treatments
- Monitor patients and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
- Administer medications orally, subcutaneously, or intramuscularly and document accordingly
- Assemble and use medical equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies
- Collect patient samples (urine, blood, sputum) and perform routine lab tests
Physical Demands
- Frequent physical activity, including lifting and transferring patients
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Manual dexterity for equipment use and documentation
- Visual acuity for patient assessment and record review
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- License: Active, unencumbered LPN license in the State of Louisiana
