NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and other neurological conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that improve functional abilities, independence with activities of daily living, and overall quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist in evaluating patient needs and identifying functional limitations.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions designed to improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living skills.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic programs.
- Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist and treatment team.
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
- Support recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize independence.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality client care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
- Comply with HIPAA, state licensure requirements, and all applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Louisiana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Experience in neuro-rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or post-acute rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
