The Risk Enablement Group, also known as the Risk Engagement Division (RED), partners with Enterprise Risk and business stakeholders to strengthen risk culture, support adoption of risk initiatives, and build organizational readiness through learning, communications, change management, engagement programs, and design support. RED helps employees understand their role in managing risk and provides the tools, training, and resources needed to embed risk-aware decision making across the organization.
RED's work focuses on three primary areas:
Risk Learning & Engagement: Delivers training, learning experiences, risk awareness campaigns, and community engagement programs that increase risk knowledge and accountability.
Risk Change & Communications: Provides change management, communication strategies, and adoption support for Enterprise Risk initiatives to help teams successfully navigate and sustain change.
Risk Culture Enablement: Measures and strengthens risk culture through reporting, insights, engagement programs, and initiatives that promote awareness across the enterprise.
RED is seeking a Summer Associate with a strong background in user experience, process improvement, communication, and AI tools. The Summer Associate will support potential projects with Enterprise Risk partners to research best practices, document processes, execute internal communications, and build UX friendly web experiences.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
Responsibilities
Support drafting and publishing communications
Research and implement AI tools
Research and implement process improvement strategies (documentation of procedures, intake forms)
Research and implement UX strategies
Compile communication metrics and engagement data for reporting
Assist with stakeholder communication plans and communication schedules
Support meeting coordination, note-taking, and action item tracking for change initiatives
Create and format presentations, infographics, templates, and job aids
Organize and maintain template and asset libraries
Qualifications
Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university in Communications, Design, Composition/Rhetoric, Journalism, Instructional Design, or related field
Effective skill to make clear, sound, and logical conclusions and recommendations based on research
AI fluency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
Experience compiling metrics and preparing reports
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts, tools, and processes
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Positive attitude and openness to feedback
Experience with project coordination, event planning, communications, graphic design, SharePoint, or content creation is a plus
Interest in change management, employee engagement, organizational communications, or business operations
