J Polep Distribution services/NCD services the Convenience Store Market in the Northeast. We are headquartered out of Chicopee, Massachusetts, and are growing. We are Looking for a dispatcher to join our team.
J. Polep Distribution Service, a regional convenience wholesaler, is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher in Chicopee, MA. This is a night shift position 12 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Flexibility with your schedule and a reasonable amount of overtime is generally required in this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Dispatching drivers
Manage load assignments
Coordinate workflow to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
Support daily driver activities including safety, DOT compliance, and management of deliveries
Provide feedback to drivers on performance and safety.
Daily monitoring of fleet drivers for route performance and adherence to planned route
Answering phones and emails
Work with vendors for repair of equipment
Communicating updates on delivery times.

QualificationsQualifications
Effective communication skills; excellent attention to detail and decision making skills
Basic working knowledge of menu driven computer applications including MS Office
Team oriented with good interpersonal skills; Can-do attitude, Get-it-done frame of mind
Self-motivating and innovative Think outside the box
Knowledge of DOT regulations
Comfortable working with customers as well as sales, accounting and other departments.
Able to work in a warehouse terminal environment.
Commercial Drivers License preferred.
