Junior Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our finance operations, with a focus on accounts payable, supplier payments, financial records, and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, solution-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reconcile and process supplier payments.

• Review invoices and clarify any discrepancies related to invoice items, pricing, or receiving signatures.

• Prepare payment vouchers with invoice number, date, vendor details, item description, amount, and appropriate accounting codes in line with company policies and procedures.

• Manage petty cash and maintain daily records of cash transactions.

• Review and verify new supplier documentation, including trade licenses, VAT numbers, and other compliance documents.

• Monitor and maintain accounts payable records.

• Keep accounting books and financial records accurate and up to date.

• Track key financial areas, including prepayments, top supplier payables, and cash bills.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• M.Com or an equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance is preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within Retail, E-commerce, or FMCG.

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Good command of English, both written and verbal.

• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Solution-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
