Engineering Technician I, II, or III (m/f/d)

Responsibilities
This position reports to the Verification and Validation Engineering Manager and will be a hands-on contributor with demonstrated capabilities to work within a team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with Verification Engineers to assist in the creation and execution of test plans
- Work with all engineering disciplines to execute test plans for NPD instrument development.
- Acquire test data and perform analysis by creating/evaluating graphs and charts.
- Assist in the maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment, including calibration services.
- Design, build, and connect equipment for test set ups
- Create and modify design documents using SAP processes.
- Source and purchase instrument components and tools.
Qualifications
Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Adept at understanding electrical, mechanical, and software concepts
- Soldering with leaded as well as lead-free equipment.
- Ability to handle a variety of hazardous combustible and toxic gases and liquids in accordance with safety protocols
- Ability to manipulate test data with a basic competency using software tools.
- Good writing and documentation skills and accurate attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task several projects.
- Excellent work ethic, strives to continually learn.
- Ability to function and contribute in a team environment.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Proficient with Office 365.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with LabVIEW programming and/or other automation packages
- Experience with electronic or mechanical CAD software tools
- Understanding of communication hardware and protocols (RS485, Modbus, CANbus, BACnet, HART)
- Knowledge of statistics and familiarity with Minitab
Education:
- Associates degree in engineering technology, electronics or related discipline required.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience required for level I
- Additional experience required for levels II and III
