About this role

We're looking for a dependable Team Leader to provide hands-on leadership while working alongside field associates to safely and efficiently complete industrial cleaning and maintenance projects. This role is responsible for guiding daily operations, supporting team development, and ensuring work is completed on schedule while meeting MPW's quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the daily work activities of assigned laborers and associates while performing hands-on field work as needed.
  • Assign work priorities and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Provide visible leadership by coaching, mentoring, and motivating associates throughout each shift.
  • Train new hires and transferred associates while providing ongoing instruction and performance feedback.
  • Conduct associate evaluations, counseling, and corrective action in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all associates understand and follow company policies related to safety, operations, human resources, and other business practices.
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings to communicate project status and coordinate work schedules.
  • Monitor work quality and address issues to ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity while reducing unnecessary material and supply usage.
  • Complete project updates, deficiency reports, and other required documentation to communicate job progress and operational concerns.
  • Make day-to-day operational decisions within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some high school education accepted.
  • Understanding of basic mechanical concepts and their practical application.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and support a team.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding manual labor throughout the workday while maintaining alertness and fitness for duty.
  • Ability to work in and around confined spaces when required.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators, while working around chemicals, fumes, and other industrial environments.
  • Ability to travel to job sites for multiple days or weeks as needed and work extended shifts that may exceed a typical 8-hour workday.
