About this role
About the Role
You'll be a Founding Engineer at Movo AI, joining a six-person team building multi-modal AI agents across voice, SMS, and email. You'll own one of four core domains end-to-end—B2B product, agent layer quality, family graph infrastructure, or B2C consumer product—and make product decisions directly alongside customers. The company hit seven figures of ARR in 4.5 months; this is a true founding seat with the option to grow into leadership or stay deep on the IC track.
What You'll Do
- Own an entire domain end-to-end, from architecture to shipping features daily in production.
- Join customer calls, synthesize feedback, and make product decisions without a PM.
- Build and optimize multi-modal agents with sub-500ms voice latency, best-in-class SMS response rates, and long-running conversation state across channels.
- Drive the architecture and quality bar for non-deterministic systems, including evals, prompt versioning, guardrails, and drift detection.
- Work full-stack: React/Next.js frontends, Node.js backends, and Python voice services.
What We're Looking For
- 3–8 years of full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of shipping 0-to-1 products at high-growth startups, as a founder, or in new vertical teams at large tech companies.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js, React/Next.js) and production experience with LLM APIs or agent SDKs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel AI SDK, Mastra, or similar).
- Depth in at least one domain: production voice/SMS agents, long-running agent state and memory, B2B2C or marketplace products, or agent evals and guardrails.
- Proven ability to make product decisions independently and conduct customer calls without a PM.
- Python experience for real-time voice pipelines (LiveKit, Deepgram, STT/TTS) or eval tooling (Braintrust, LLM-as-judge).
- Founder experience with real traction (revenue, funding, or acquisition) and ability to articulate learnings from failures, or strong CS fundamentals.
