πŸ‘¨πŸ’» About the Role

This is a hands-on entry point into product engineering at a fast-growing premium tech accessories brand. You will work across design, tooling and mass production, with direct exposure to global teams and real supply chain experience in Dongguan. You will take on genuine ownership early, with the potential to progress into Project Engineer, Mechanical Process Engineer, or Tooling Engineer.

Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Dongguan, China, working on-site from Monday-Friday. The normal working hours will be 9am - 6:30pm CST.

You are a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is detail-oriented, methodical and genuinely curious about how products are made. You are comfortable working with drawings, data and documentation, take pride in getting things right, and follow through without being chased. You communicate clearly in English and enjoy working across teams.

πŸ”‘Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with dimensional measurement of products and parts, and record data accurately

  • Review product samples against specifications and log findings

  • Support engineers in new product introduction (NPI)

  • Assist with tooling and sample feedback

  • Support engineers with process-related paperwork and ensure steps and materials are complete

  • Assist with organising and maintaining internal process documentation and SOPs

βœ”οΈHow will success be measured?

  • Design inputs, sample feedback and supplier communications are coordinated and followed up without engineers having to chase

  • NPI actions are tracked and closed on time, with no steps missed or documentation gaps

  • Sample shipments are dispatched on schedule with accurate, complete paperwork

  • Feedback and technical comments are consolidated clearly and communicated without ambiguity

  • Documentation and records are accurate, complete and filed on time

πŸ€“Skills requirements:

Hard skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials / Polymer / Mechanical / Manufacturing or related

  • Able to read and interpret 2D drawings

  • Basic CAD literacy (SolidWorks / Creo)

  • Understanding of plastic materials and common processes (injection moulding, basic tooling concepts)

  • Able to read technical documents in English; written English for daily global communication

  • Measuring tools and accurate data recording

Soft skills:

  • Detail-oriented and accurate β€” design and test data feed downstream decisions

  • Structured thinker β€” able to break a problem into steps

  • Curious about product and willing to learn tooling / manufacturing hands-on

  • Organised, handles parallel tasks, follows through

  • Communicates early on issues and delays

  • Comfortable being hands-on with samples, factories and site visits

Nice-to-have:

  • Experienced in NPD, quality, lab testing or manufacturing

  • Familiarity with testing standards (drop test, material testing)

  • Basic DFM awareness
