  • $40,500-$65,000 base pay (DOE) with generous wage growth

THE ROLE

The entry CAD Technician helps translate conceptual designs and ideas from clients by using CAD software to create technical drawings and plans for a variety of civil engineering projects among various market groups within the company. Design work can focus on airport, transportation, water/wastewater, land development, environmental, vertical structures, and industrial engineering projects. These responsibilities include:

  • Creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on sketches, specifications, and other input provided by engineers, architects, or clients.
  • Translating concepts and ideas into precise, accurate drawings and models using CAD software
  • Prepare documentation packages, including drawings, plans, and specifications, for review, approval, and construction purposes
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design requirements and specifications are met and communicated effectively.
  • Review drawings and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

YOUR STRENGTHS

  • Associate or Technical degree in Drafting or CAD Technology
  • 0-3+ years of multi-discipline, CAD design experience in civil engineering, architectural or similar industries
  • Bachelors in Engineering Technology or Design preferred
  • Strong technical design skills
  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, Plant3D)
