12-Hour Shifts | Approximately 3–4 Days per Week
Every Other Weekend Availability Required

About the Role

High Point Residence Peoria is seeking a dependable and friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the dietary department with meal preparation, dining service, kitchen cleanliness, and other daily food service needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in creating a positive dining experience for seniors. Our Dietary Aides play an important role in making mealtimes enjoyable while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous food service experience preferred

  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and dietary guidelines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts within kitchen hours of 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

  • Every other weekend availability required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, supportive living, healthcare, hospitality, or food service

  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with special dietary needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and dining service according to menus, dietary guidelines, and resident needs

  • Set up and prepare dining areas before meals

  • Serve meals to residents in a friendly, respectful, and timely manner

  • Clear tables and assist with cleanup following meal service

  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, work areas, and dining spaces

  • Follow proper food safety, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures

  • Assist with stocking and organizing food, beverages, and kitchen supplies

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

  • Communicate effectively with residents and team members

  • Support the dietary team with additional duties as needed
