Our mission is to enable contractors to build great teams and increase profits.
We measure our success in terms of the cost savings and productivity gains we
drive for our customers.
If we’re successful, we’ll make it possible for construction firms to build more
with less, driving positive second-order effects on housing and infrastructure
costs and third-order effects on economic growth.

Remote vs in-office work
We believe that great people can do great work from the office or from home.
Roughly half of Mitosaurs work from our SF and NYC offices, with the rest
working remotely. Each day at 2pm PT, we have “Mitogames”, an optional
collaborative game-playing session on Google Meet.
Miter is remote-friendly, but we believe that the best relationships are built
in-person. We hold all-company offsites 2x per year, and we encourage Mitosaurs
to meet and work IRL as often as is reasonable. Life is too short not to love
the people you work with.
Work/life balance
We’re a fast-paced, high-performance culture, which means that most Mitosaurs
work hard. If work/life balance is a top criteria in your job search, or if you
never want to work over 40 hours/week, Miter probably isn’t the right fit. Miter
is a great fit for those who take pride in their craft and want to accelerate
their career growth. That said:
* Mitosaurs are evaluated based on output and results, not input or hours
worked. Miter is a high-trust culture, which means we trust Mitosaurs to work
where, when, and how they want.
* Miter should never interfere with health and happiness. Family, friends,
mental health, and physical fitness should take priority over Miter.
* We offer unlimited vacation and encourage Mitosaurs to take all the time they
need to perform at a high level.
