Senior Software Engineer
About this role
At Miter, the Senior Software Engineer will help shape scalable, production-ready software across the full stack. You’ll join a cross-functional team to design and deliver large, complex technical products that impact our users and business. This role emphasizes technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and collaboration with product and design partners.
What youll do
- Lead the design and implementation of large and complex technical products end-to-end.
- Build and maintain modular full-stack infrastructure spanning frontend UI and backend API.
- Develop data models and APIs, and implement integrations with services such as Stripe (Issuing, Treasury) and Check.
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and influence strategic decisions.
- Deliver production-ready software using Node.js/Express.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and React Native, deployed via Render.
- Drive best practices in testing, performance, and security, and mentor peers to raise engineering standards.
What Miter is looking for
- 4+ years in full-stack software engineering delivering production systems.
- Experience leading the design and implementation of large and complex technical products end-to-end.
- Proficiency with MongoDB, Node.js, Express.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Expertise in data modeling, API development, and building modular full-stack infrastructure (frontend UI and backend API).
- Experience with React and React Native.
- Experience with Stripe (Issuing, Treasury), Render, and Check.
- Ability to deeply understand business context and user needs; product- and user-oriented mindset with ability to contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Strong CS fundamentals.
