About this role
Overview
Assist with the daily operations of the bakery packaging department during the holiday season. This temporary position supports packaging, shipping, and, when invited, office operations while helping maintain an efficient, organized, and sanitary work environment. This position is seasonal and not to exceed 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Instruct and supervise volunteers in the bakery packaging and shipping departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the packaging area at all times.
- Keep the dish area clean and ensure cleaning utensils are processed through the dishwasher as needed.
- Remove garbage throughout the shift as required.
- Transport dirty bakery linens to the laundry area at the end of each shift.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events.
- Leave all work areas clean, neat, and organized at the conclusion of each shift.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as needed.
Training and Support
- On-the-job training provided regarding bakery packaging, shipping procedures, sanitation practices, and safety standards.
- Opportunities to work alongside experienced team members and volunteers.
Schedule
- Temporary holiday position.
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Schedule may vary based on operational and seasonal needs.
Pay
$19 per hour
Qualifications
- Knowledge of equipment commonly used in a food service environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and other departments.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
