Reports to: 1st Shift Welding Supervisor

Collaborates with: Fabrication, Shipping

Primary Responsibility: This position is responsible for MIG welding, layout, tacking, and fabrication of metal components to meet production standards and specifications. The role requires close coordination with the welding, fabrication, and shipping teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to job specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to complete assigned tasks.
  • Conduct layout and tack welding during the fabrication process.
  • Debur and grind metal surfaces for proper finish and fit.
  • Follow quality control procedures and adhere to product specifications.
  • Ensure strict compliance with welding safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Perform general fabrication and assembly duties as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and team initiatives.

 

What Qualifies You:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Certification in welding from a recognized technical institute or trade school is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to use welding equipment and related tools effectively and safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Welding certification a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.

  • Prior work experience as a MIG welder

Pay Range: $23/hr+ depending on experience
