Position Summary
The AutoCAD Specialist is responsible for maintaining and updating all AutoCAD and GIS files to ensure accurate, current documentation of site utilities, building systems, and facility modifications. This role supports project teams by managing drawing updates, database accuracy, and the integration of new information into existing CAD and GIS systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and update AutoCAD and ESRI GIS databases with information related to aboveground and subsurface utilities, building modifications, and new construction.
Input and revise data to reflect changes, corrections, or new information provided by project teams or field personnel.
Ensure all AutoCAD and GIS files remain accurate, organized, and accessible to project stakeholders.
Manage electronic drawing files and documentation on shared network drives.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Support project planning and execution by providing updated drawings and spatial data as required.
Maintain version control and documentation standards for all CAD and GIS updates.
QualificationsMinimum Education & Experience Requirements
US Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent technical training and experience considered.
Minimum 4 years of experience working with AutoCAD and ESRI GIS systems.
Strong understanding of utility mapping, building systems, and construction documentation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ESRI GIS, and related drafting or spatial data tools.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, organized digital records.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
