We’re looking for a responsible, highly organized Production Supervisor responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the production team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. This role manages a team of production associates, coordinates with quality, maintenance, and materials teams, and drives continuous improvement on the floor.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across assigned shift(s) or line(s), ensuring output targets and deadlines are met
Create and schedule work orders to ensure optimal and efficient production cycles
Lead, train, and develop a team of production associates and operators; manage scheduling, attendance, and performance
Enforce safety policies and procedures; conduct safety briefings and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence
Monitor product quality throughout the production process and address defects and non-conformances
Track and report daily production metrics (output, downtime, scrap rate, labor efficiency) to leadership
Monitor inventory levels and ensure components and raw materials are available to meet production schedules
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma principles) to reduce waste and improve throughput
Handle employee relation issues, including coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
3+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Experience in automotive parts, sheet metal fabrication, or similar precision manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and quality specifications
Proficiency with production tracking software and Netsuite
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on a manufacturing floor
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
Comfortable working in a plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
