Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch break)
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Access Control Administrator to
manage and optimize our Genetec access control infrastructure. This role will provide direct
support to the Access Control (Badging) team, focusing on system administration, feature
testing and validation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional reporting. The ideal candidate
will also lead the ClearID deployment to establish attribute-based authorization workflows.
This position requires deep expertise in enterprise access control systems and a proven
ability to support complex security environments.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Support:
- Administer and maintain the Genetec Security Center access control platform
- Provide direct technical support to the Access Control (Badging) team for
- system-related inquiries and issues
- Test and validate new features, updates, and system configurations before
- production deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve access control system issues, including hardware and
- software components
- Perform regular system health checks and proactive maintenance
ClearID Implementation & Management:
- Lead the deployment and configuration of ClearID for attribute-based authorization
- workflows
- Design and implement access policies based on user attributes and organizational
- requirements
- Integrate ClearID with existing Genetec infrastructure and identity management
- systems
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for attribute-based access
- management
Reporting & Analytics:
- Support reporting needs for various internal teams including Finance, Workplace,
- and other stakeholders
- Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards within Genetec Security Center
- Analyze access control data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization
- opportunities
- Provide ad-hoc reporting for compliance, audits, and security investigations
Documentation & Collaboration:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and
- troubleshooting guides
- Collaborate with the Security Technology team on system improvements and best
- practices
- Coordinate with vendors and support channels for issue escalation and resolution
Required Technology Experience:
- Access Control: Genetec Security Center (certification required), Synergis access
- Identity Management: ClearID or similar attribute-based access control platforms●
- Integration: Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, and identity provider

- Networking: IP networking, VLANs, and network troubleshooting for access control
- Database & Reporting: SQL queries, report building, and data analysis tools
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise access control systems
- Genetec certification required (Security Center System Operator or higher)
- Strong experience administering and configuring Genetec Security Center platforms
- Demonstrated experience with access control system troubleshooting and issue
- resolution
- Experience with attribute-based access control concepts and implementation
- Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports and analyzing security data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco during standard business hours
- Reliable transportation to San Francisco location
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Genetec certifications (Security Center Administrator, Integrator)
- Experience with ClearID deployment and configuration
- Knowledge of physical security industry standards and compliance requirements
- Experience with enterprise-scale access control deployments across multiple
- locations
- Networking certifications (CCNA or equivalent)
- Previous experience supporting badging operations or cardholder management
- Experience with video management system integration (Genetec VMS preferred)
- Bay Area experience preferred

- Report accuracy and timeliness

Working Conditions:
- Travel to SF monthly is required.
- Standard business hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Occasional flexibility may be required for system maintenance or critical issues
