About this role

Milacron is looking for a Whirler to join our team in Mt. Orab, Ohio. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machining equipment to fabricate, alter, and maintain machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and production standards are met.
Work You’ll Do:
  • Maintain a positive work environment through professional communication and teamwork with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner while following established safety procedures.
  • Use gauges and measuring instruments to ensure tolerance requirements are met.
  • Operate precision tools and equipment, including lathes, vertical milling machines, drill presses, broaches, and cutting tools.
  • Fabricate and shape metal parts, tools, and machine components.
  • Properly select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tooling, accessories, and materials used in machining operations.
  • Recognize and effectively utilize inserts, fixtures, and tooling to support production needs.
  • Evaluate, modify, and adjust machine setups to ensure efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, programmers, and other team members to resolve machining and assembly issues.
  • Follow ISO requirements, quality standards, preventative maintenance practices, 5S principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dependable, honest, quick learner with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and various shifts, to meet customer demand.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions.
  • Basic math and measuring skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Currently enrolled in a technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • Experience with precision tools and blueprint reading preferred.
Shift: Full-time, 3rd Shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
