We import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world and distribute them to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company’s mission to provide quality service and products. Midwest Foods is looking to hire a WMS Receiver to join our team.
Mon-Sat 1st shift
Job Description
Responsible for receiving produce, food related items and non-food items.
Train current and new employees on the WMS systems and scanners
Check quality and counts on trailers
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
Fill out paperwork for all items received/shipped
Check quality of product
Will need to purchase product if purchasing is not available
Coordinate and direct the process of stocking the product from the receiving dock to the warehouse
Responsible for rotating the product in the warehouse, FIFO
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow food - safety regulations
Inventory experience a plus
QualificationsQualifications
WMS experience required (NetSuite WMS preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Must be able to drive Forklift/ Walkie Rider
Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving of produce
Must be flexible to work different shifts, weekends and holidays
Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to read and write English
Must be able to work in cold environment (35 degrees)
