Job Summary
Pico Propane and Fuels, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver to join our team in Dayton, TX.
In this role, you will safely and efficiently deliver propane to residential and commercial customers while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing the high level of service our customers expect.

Duties and Responsibilities
Safely loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial customers
Complies with all applicable local, state, federal, DOT, and company safety regulations
Performs required pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment used to transport hazardous materials
Maintains accurate records, including vehicle inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven, in accordance with DOT requirements
Monitors vehicle condition and maintenance needs and performs minor maintenance as appropriate
Ensures delivery vehicles are serviced according to established maintenance schedules and promptly reports mechanical or safety concerns to the supervisor
Maintains a professional appearance and ensures company vehicles and equipment are clean and properly presented
Provides excellent customer service through professional, courteous, and effective communication
Helps ensure customer safety by performing prefill inspections, system checks, and testing as required
Safely operates delivery equipment, including hoses and other equipment associated with propane delivery
Performs other related duties as assigned

QualificationsSkills and Abilities
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to effectively use GPS, smartphone applications, web-based navigation tools, and/or maps
Ability to maintain accurate logs, records, and required documentation
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and propane delivery equipment
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
Must meet all applicable DOT requirements
LP Delivery and LP Service and Installation certifications through the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), or ability to obtain required certification
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred
No more than one moving violation within the previous two years
3+ years of commercial driving experience in propane and/or fuel distribution
1+ year of tanker experience within the last five years
Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements
The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift, carry, or move items weighing approximately 10 to 80 pounds for up to 90% of the work shift
Ability to regularly climb into and out of a commercial motor vehicle multiple times during a work shift
Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, grasping ability, and visual acuity necessary to safely operate vehicles and equipment, including at night
Ability to sit and reach with hands and arms for extended periods
Ability to communicate effectively and hear safety-related instructions, warnings, and signals
Must meet pre-employment and ongoing DOT medical certification and drug and alcohol testing requirements
Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening and company-required physical abilities testing
Ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
Ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, with potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and gases
