About this role

Overview of Position

The Blender I is responsible for accurately weighing, mixing, and documenting raw ingredients in accordance with production specifications and safety standards. This role ensures product consistency, quality, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Comply with all GMP and HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent contamination and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Clean mixers and related equipment according to the production schedule and sanitation protocols.
  • Accurately record lot numbers for all components on batch sheets to ensure full traceability.
  • Weigh and add each ingredient in the specified sequence, adhering strictly to job card and mixing instructions.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and job cards to verify the presence of all required raw materials before initiating the weighing process.

Scope

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities, budget management, or oversight of any functional area. It is an individual contributor role focused on production execution.

Knowledge, Education, Skills and Abilities

  • 0–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in food or powder blending preferred)

  • Forklift operation certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Proficiency in operating blending equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration and issue reporting
  • Ability to follow detailed production schedules and instructions
  • Basic understanding of weights, measurements, and calculations
  • Attention to detail in labeling, packaging, and pallet configuration
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Active participation in team and departmental meetings

The salary range for this position is:

$20.96 - $28.36
