Job DetailsJob Location: Alexandria, VA 22312Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneMayvin is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support our security program and ensure compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements. The AFSO will assist in managing personnel security clearances, security training, and classified information handling while ensuring adherence to National Industrial Security Program (NISP) guidelines. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and government agencies.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

Assist FSO with overall security program
Maintain combination records and respond to alarms as necessary
Assist with security clearance processing and lifecycle management, including initiating, updating, and tracking personnel security actions in DISS/NBIS.Provide security briefings and training to new employees and participate in corporate-wide security education programs
Prepare and review DD254s
Working knowledge of security regulations and best practices, including 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), or the ability to quickly develop proficiency.Support building access control system, including issuance and management of badges, access logs, and ensuring physical security
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and transfers of cleared personnel, including security briefings, debriefings, badge/access updates, and required documentation
Assist in overseeing employee personnel security clearances (PCLs), including initiating investigations/reinvestigations, and review employee Standard Form (SF)86s for completeness
Process visit requests (VARs) in DISS
Assist with CAC applications and SCI nominations
Assist with CUI security requirements and awareness, including proper handling, marking, storage, transmission, and reporting
Provide guidance to management and personnel on security-related questions, ensuring alignment with government regulations and company policie

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
