Job Summary

The Product Manager II is responsible for managing product strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle execution for a portfolio of products or product lines. This role bridges business, engineering, operations, sales, and customer needs to deliver innovative solutions that drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness. The Product Manager II operates with moderate independence and works cross-functionally to define product requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful product launches and ongoing product performance.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and execute product roadmaps aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery activities to identify product enhancements and new product opportunities.
  • Define product vision, value propositions, and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business impact.

Product Development

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Create and maintain product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage product development schedules and ensure timely execution of product milestones.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product reviews.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify product improvements and unmet needs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to understand market demands and customer challenges.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and support customer-facing activities as needed.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities for product launches and market introductions.
  • Develop pricing, positioning, and go-to-market recommendations in partnership with marketing and sales.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and recommend corrective actions or enhancements.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities, including upgrades, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life processes.

Business Performance

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, market share, customer adoption, and profitability.
  • Support annual business planning and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze financial performance and develop recommendations to improve product success.
  • Present product status, business cases, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 4-7 years of product management, product marketing, engineering, or related experience.
  • Experience managing products from concept through launch and post-launch support.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Industry experience in technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, software, or related markets preferred.
