CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidate must be currently enrolled in a local university or hotel school degree program at time of application.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and accounting, statistics or hospitality management preferred

For more specialist disciplines, for example those students pursuing business or similar related courses, consideration is also given for those related internship opportunities.

Able to commit to a six months’ internship.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS + ATTRIBUTES

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work in group settings and/or independently.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task several projects.

Demonstrates problem solving skills.

Demonstrates creativity and innovation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES + REQUIREMENTS

The intern will work for Marriott’s Revenue team and will be based in the Kuala Lumpur office. The intern will assist in projects, and supporting initiatives related to hotel operations. Key responsibilities include:

  •    Review and summarize reports 
  •    Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools  
  •    Take lead of projects such as Revenue Management Projects 
  •    Coordinate, track and manage project implementation for selected revenue strategy initiatives 
  •    Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and follow company policies and procedures 
  •    Perform other reasonable job duties as requested  

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and accounting, statistics or hospitality management preferred

Requirements:

Local student. Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
