About this role

  • Conduct outbound sales outreach to Japanese manufacturing companies via phone, email, and LinkedIn, primarily in Japanese.
  • Qualify inbound leads from the Japan market and assess customer requirements.
  • Schedule discovery calls and meetings for the senior account management team.
  • Research target accounts, including production environments, business challenges, and digital maturity.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
  • Support the translation of product materials, proposals, and client communications for Japanese customers.
  • Build and nurture an early-stage sales pipeline for the Japan market.
  • Collaborate with the account management team to ensure smooth lead handover and follow-up.
  • Ensure high-quality communication and relationship-building with Japanese prospects.
  • Meet monthly targets for qualified leads, discovery calls, and outreach activities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Diploma or degree in the Japanese language.
  • JLPT N2 certification or above strongly preferred.
  • Business-level proficiency in spoken and written Japanese.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • Experience in the Japanese manufacturing or industrial sector is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and factory digitalization.
  • Strong inside sales, lead qualification, and customer outreach skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage sales pipelines and customer interactions.
  • Strong research and account profiling abilities.
  • Understanding of Japanese business etiquette, communication style, and relationship-driven sales.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Persistent and patient approach to managing long sales cycles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Genuine interest in manufacturing technology and industrial transformation.
