Product Owner – Service Request Management/Account Opening (ID 1299)
About this role
· Own the end-to-end product
backlog for SRM and Account Opening modules covering:
· Digital
& Assisted Account Opening (Retail, SME, Corporate)
· End-to-end
Service Request Management lifecycle
· Develop
and manage multi-year product roadmap aligned to business growth strategy and
regulatory requirements.
· Identify
innovation opportunities (automation, STP, workflow digitization, AI-based
validations).
· Drive
platform scalability, configurability, and future-readiness.
· Act as the single point of
accountability for SRM/Account Opening functional scope and priorities.
- Translate business and regulatory
requirements into:
- User stories
- Functional specifications
- Acceptance criteria
- Prioritize backlog items based on
business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure stories are clear,
testable, and implementation-ready for development teams.
- Continuously groom and refine the
backlog with stakeholders
- Act as a bridge between business
and technology, ensuring functional intent is correctly implemented.
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies and
ensure Agile maturity across teams
- Ensure adherence to SDLC and
governance processes
- Ensure Regulatory compliance of
account opening and SRM modules
Requirements
- 10 plus years of experience in banking / financial services
- Hands-on experience as a Product Owner.
- Must have worked in lending products or account opening or
Service request management.
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and
functional documents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to create and review:
o Functional Requirement
Documents (FRD)
o User Stories and Acceptance
Criteria
o Process flows and business
rules
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, or
related discipline
(B.E. / B.Tech / B.Com / BBA / equivalent) - MBA / PGDM (Finance / Operations / Systems) is a plus, but not
mandatory.
- Strong grounding in banking, finance, and business processes.
