Equipment Planner - Isotanks

To support the continued growth of our Liquids division, we're looking for someone who can bring structure, visibility, and efficiency to our isotank operations. Someone who knows the forwarding business, loves planning, and enjoys turning complexity into clarity.

As an Equipment Planner, you are responsible for maintaining a clear overview of the available isotank fleet and ensuring tanks are allocated as efficiently as possible across our operations.
Working closely with the forwarding team, tank operators, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you continuously monitor equipment availability and anticipate future needs. By keeping track of stock positions, equipment movements, and planning requirements, you play a crucial role in maximizing operational efficiency and optimizing tank utilization.
This is a highly visible position within the Liquids department where your planning skills directly impact service levels, profitability, and operational excellence. At MPL, we turn knowledge into action. Who are we looking for?

• You have experience within forwarding, transport planning, or logistics operations.
• You understand how forwarding processes work and can easily connect operational needs with planning requirements.
• Experience with isotanks, bulk liquids, or the tank container industry is a strong plus.
• You have strong analytical and organizational skills and enjoy working with data, schedules, and planning overviews.
• You are proactive and don't wait for problems to arise before taking action.
• Communication comes naturally to you and you build relationships easily with both internal and external stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch is preferred.
• You can work autonomously while remaining a strong team player.
• You are all about integrity, positivity, and keeping it real.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and maintaining a weekly overview of available isotank equipment across various tank operators.
• Monitoring stock positions and equipment availability to support operational planning.
• Acting as the go-to person for equipment allocation within the Liquids team.
• Coordinating with forwarders and operational colleagues to ensure tank availability for upcoming shipments.
• Identifying shortages, surpluses, and optimization opportunities within the equipment pool.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with tank operators and suppliers.
• Proactively anticipating future equipment requirements and market developments.
• Contributing to higher operational efficiency, improved utilization rates, and increased profitability.
