About the Role
As an Onsite Inventory Specialist, you'll become the face of Mallory at one of our customer locations in the Redmond, Oregon area. You'll play an important role in ensuring employees always have the PPE and safety supplies they need by managing inventory, stocking vending machines, completing routine safety equipment inspections, and performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance on vending machines and related equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own schedule, building strong customer relationships, and working hands-on in an industrial environment.
This part-time position averages 16–24 hours per week, typically working two days each week, with an additional service day each month dedicated to inspections and inventory management.
Each Monday, you'll spend a short amount of time entering inventory orders into our system. Product is then picked and shipped from our Portland warehouse, allowing you to focus the rest of your week on servicing the customer site by stocking machines, organizing inventory, completing inspections, and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
What You'll Do
Every day looks a little different, but your responsibilities will include:
Replenish PPE and industrial safety products in customer vending machines
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on vending machines, including replacing latches, addressing minor mechanical issues, and troubleshooting equipment components
Enter weekly inventory orders into our inventory system
Monitor inventory levels and perform routine cycle counts with a high level of accuracy
Complete inspections of first aid cabinets, AEDs, emergency eyewash stations, safety showers, and emergency lighting
Document inspections and inventory activity using mobile reporting software
Build positive relationships with customer employees and Mallory teammates
Organize inventory and move product between designated storage areas as needed
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and customer service
Stay active throughout the day with frequent walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, kneeling, and movement
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who is
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
Organized with strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Mechanically inclined with basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues
Comfortable using hand tools and performing basic hands-on repairs
Comfortable using technology and learning inventory software
Able to manage their own schedule and prioritize tasks
Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment around machinery and equipment
Able to safely climb ladders, kneel, bend, walk, lift, and stay active throughout the day
Willing and able to learn how to service and troubleshoot vending machines and related equipment
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience
Driving record that meets Mallory's Safe Driver standards
Previous inventory, warehouse, merchandising, manufacturing, maintenance, or customer service experience preferred
Previous experience working with vending machines, industrial equipment, or basic mechanical repairs is a plus
Basic computer skills, including data entry
Ability to read and write in English
Work Environment
You'll be working inside an industrial manufacturing facility where you'll spend much of your day on your feet. Responsibilities include stocking vending machines, organizing inventory, opening inspection cabinets, troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on equipment, and occasionally lifting heavier safety equipment or moving inventory boxes between storage locations.
The role requires frequent physical activity, including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, lifting, carrying, and working around industrial equipment.
