Location: Westborough, MA — with community-based work

MAB Community Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support individuals enrolled in our ABI/MFP Waiver Programs as they work toward greater independence and quality of life.

Under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Program Manager, the PT or PTA provides individualized, goal-driven therapy in a variety of settings, including participants’ homes, our Training & Rehabilitation Center (TRC), and the community.

This position is ideal for a clinician who values functional, real-world rehabilitation and enjoys working collaboratively with individuals, families, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team.

What You’ll Do

Provide physical therapy services focused on mobility, safety, functional independence, and quality of life

Implement individualized treatment plans based on participant goals, needs, and interests

Collaborate with participants, families, caregivers, service coordinators, and the interdisciplinary team

Select and adapt therapeutic activities to support physical and cognitive abilities

Train and educate direct care staff to reinforce therapeutic goals and promote carryover

Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications and assist with letters of medical necessity as appropriate

Provide protocols and training for new or updated equipment in residential settings

Complete timely clinical documentation and billing required for reimbursement

Participate in team meetings, trainings, and weekly supervision

Mentor students and interns as assigned

PTs may provide clinical guidance and mentorship to PTAs as appropriate

Qualifications

Physical Therapist (PT)

Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist license in good standing

Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred

Experience with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) preferred

Experience in outpatient, home care, rehabilitation, or community-based therapy preferred

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing

Experience in outpatient, home care, rehabilitation, or community-based therapy preferred

Experience working with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a plus
