Are you an Occupational Therapy graduate student looking for a meaningful Level II Fieldwork experience where you can build your clinical skills while making a difference in the lives of young people?

Ivy Street School is seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative Occupational Therapy Student Intern to join our multidisciplinary team for the Fall semester.

Ivy Street is a small, year-round private residential special education school serving neurodiverse adolescents ages 13–22. Our student-first approach focuses on helping young people develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need as they transition into adulthood.

What You'll Do

As an OT Student Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience while working under the supervision of experienced Occupational Therapists. You'll have opportunities to:

Observe and participate in individual and group OT sessions, screenings, evaluations, and meetings

Complete screenings and evaluations with support

Provide supervised OT services to a caseload of approximately 4–10 students

Lead push-in programming and after-school groups

Participate in IEP development, progress notes, documentation, and billing

Attend interdisciplinary meetings and classroom collaborations

Receive ongoing supervision from Occupational Therapists and the Director of Related Services

Collaborate with and learn from other professionals, including Speech-Language Pathologists and Physical Therapists

Build meaningful relationships with students while developing strong professional and clinical skills

Who We're Looking For

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and be currently enrolled in a Master's or Doctorate program in Occupational Therapy.

Experience with transition-aged youth, diverse mental health needs, or school/residential settings is preferred.

Why Ivy Street?

This isn't just an opportunity to observe—you'll have the chance to develop practical OT skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment while supporting students as they prepare for adulthood and greater independence.

If you're looking for a Level II Fieldwork placement where you can learn, contribute, and gain meaningful hands-on experience, we'd love to hear from you.
