Job DetailsJob Location: Lone Star University - Pharr, TX 78577-2455JOB SUMMARY

Collaborates with department managers, subject matter experts, Instructional Designer III and Training & Development Manager to develop and produce training courses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary.

Collaborates with the Instructional Designer Supervisor to develop and produce instructional materials and training curriculum
Delivers training for a minimum of one foundational course
Assists in instruction, preparing of training material and scheduling of the training classes and other training programs as required
Completes trainee evaluations and communicates trainee training needs to supervisors
Maintains related training attendance documentation for all required training
Assists in maintaining a current published training calendar and directory of all internal training offered
Participates in the testing of system enhancements and contributes to efficiency goals
Handles department purchasing and maintains record of all receipts to complete ongoing credit card expense reports
Handles training room scheduling and setting up and performing other administrative responsibilities for the training department
Conducts Banking Center Visits in order to identify training needs and reinforce best practices
Works as a team to ensure training facility and equipment is operational at all times
Participate in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

H.S. Diploma or GED required
At least one year of previous banking experience with one year of training experience is preferred
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or at least one year of banking experience with two years of college is preferred
Effective adult learning communications and presentation skills are essential
Thorough knowledge of applicable banking laws and regulations is required
Computer literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software are essential
Must be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and exhibit sound problem solving skills
Good organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are necessary for generating training materials/calendar and maintaining effective relationships with employees, customers and business prospects
Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling numerous interruptions
Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays-Sundays
Occasional travel to other branch locations/markets may be necessary
Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired

This position reports to the Instructional Designer Supervisor
This position does not oversee other positions

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.
