Introduction
Do you have significant experience in managing a front line housing management service? A passion for delivering excellent customer care and putting residents at the heart of the service? An ability to build relationships and work across teams and organisations to deliver outcomes?
What’s the role?
This role will oversee the Housing Management and Tenancy Fraud functions for Lewisham Council residents alongside clienting the two Tenant Management Organisations. Working closely with other teams, departments and external organisations to ensure the service delivers on our regulatory and statutory responsibilities. The post holder will produce good quality reports and management information and ensure full responses to complaints. They will ensure policies and procedures are up to date and deputise for the Head of Housing and Communities.

What we’re looking for
You will have an eye for accuracy and can ensure quality and consistency of published digital content within the Council’s content management system. You will be keen to get involved in content creation, including directing messaging, editorial and tone of voice. Liaising and supporting service-based content editors to ensure webpages are accurate, kept up to date and serve our residents well, will be what you excel at, as well as having great people skills and experience of supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
Special conditions
- Relevant CIH level 4 qualification is needed
- Work flexibility and attend ad-hoc meetings in evenings or weekends, as required.
- The job is subject to a basic DBS check

Salary
£64,938 - £69,660 per annum (SMG1)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
