About this role
Provides engineering ownership for the enterprise Nutanix platform supporting Windows Server workloads and core on-prem Windows infrastructure services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificates/PKI, and file services. Provides technical leadership to offshore engineers to ensure consistent standards, effective escalation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Own Nutanix AHV/HCI operations, including capacity, performance, upgrades, patching, firmware coordination, and compute/storage troubleshooting.
• Lead offshore engineers by setting standards, reviewing changes, guiding escalations, and mentoring for consistent service delivery.
• Administer Nutanix Files and Database Service clusters, including provisioning, health monitoring, lifecycle activities, and issue resolution.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, database, and vendor teams to onboard workloads, right-size resources, resolve issues, and document runbooks.
• Support Active Directory, domain controllers, Sites & Services, Group Policy, trusts, replication, authentication, and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Manage Microsoft DNS and Cloudflare DNS, and support PKI/certificate issuance, renewals, validation, troubleshooting, and remediation.
• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, including 3+ years supporting enterprise virtualization platforms; Nutanix preferred.
• Hands-on Nutanix administration experience across clusters, storage/compute concepts, lifecycle processes, performance, capacity, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Nutanix Files, Nutanix Database Service, Windows Server, file services, NTFS/share permissions, and least-privilege access.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS integration, trusts, replication, authentication, and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Experience managing certificates, TLS, certificate chains, renewals, and incident response for expirations.
• Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and change-control discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Nutanix certifications such as NCA, NCP, or NCM, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with backup, replication, disaster recovery, Nutanix Cloud Clusters on Azure, and Rubrik administration.
• Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive.
• Experience coordinating vulnerability remediation and Windows Server hardening.
