Shift: 5:30am – 1:30pm, straight day shift
Hourly Rate: $32.99 per hour starting, increases at 6 months & 1 year (up to $36.03 in Oct 2027)

 

OVERVIEW
The Machine Repair Worker performs highly skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work throughout Libbey’s manufacturing facility.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of industrial machinery
  • Perform machine rebuilding and rebuilding of other related assemblies
  • Perform assembly and repair of forming equipment and section tear down and rebuilding
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, rebuild processing production machinery
  • Confer with engineers, production personnel, and others to resolve machining or assembly problems

 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled Trades Journeyman card preferred or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Proficient at reading and understanding Engineering drawings
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Experience safely using shop tools and equipment, such as drill presses, band saws, grinding wheels, sanders, etc.
  • Ability to machine parts, within specifications, using manual or CNC lathes and mills is preferred but not required
  • Capable of properly using rigging equipment with cranes or hoists to move heavy loads
  • Strong understanding and passion for safe, clean and organized work environments
  • Applied knowledge of effective trouble shooting and root cause analysis
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and be able to perform overhead work
  • Must be willing to work day or night shift as assigned
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, oil, high temperature)
