Description

A hotel night auditor handles both front desk operations and financial reconciliation during the overnight shift (typically 10 PM to 7 AM). They audit the day’s transactions, balance revenue accounts, check in late arrivals, process check-outs, and act as the main point of contact for guest needs and property security. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Financial Auditing: Reconciling billing, verifying all guest charges and payments, and generating end-of-day financial and occupancy reports for hotel management. 
  • Guest Services: Checking guests in and out, managing reservations, scheduling wake-up calls, and addressing any complaints or requests. 
  • Overnight Operations: Acting as the primary contact for late-night inquiries and coordinating with security and maintenance teams to maintain a safe, quiet environment. 

Requirements

Night Auditor Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be comfortable performing overnight valet duties as part of the role.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Must be dependable, organized, and able to manage all responsibilities associated with the Night Auditor position.
