All the Medicine. Less of the Burnout! PawDoc Urgent Care and Surgery Dental Center is opening a brand-new center in Tacoma, Washington! We are looking for an Urgent Care doctor to join our team!

At PawDoc, we are reimagining veterinary care to be more accessible, transparent, and stress-free for every pet family. By combining high-quality medicine with a concierge-style experience, we make it easier for pet parents to get the care their pets need, without the anxiety or uncertainty. Our client-centric approach is designed around convenience and connection. From pre-visit digital onboarding to real-time SMS updates, we keep pet owners informed and engaged every step of the way. Our reception-less, open lobby ensures every client and pet is personally welcomed, while our team takes time to sit down with clients, review care plans, build trust, and take care of pets.

We understand the friction in veterinary medicine. That's why we work to combat compassion fatigue and burnout, focusing on collaboration, creativity, and wellness to support your career and personal goals. No early mornings, late nights, or overnight shifts, because your personal well-being is just as important as the care you provide. 

Our compensation package includes starting base salary of $130,000, plus production incentives, along with sign-on and relocation bonuses available. We offer a great benefits package including, but not limited to: health insurance (vision, medical, dental, health savings/flexible spending), life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401K with company contribution, PTO, generous CE allowance with additional PTO allotted, reimbursement for membership dues and license fees, no non-compete, and more! 

To meet the needs of our communities, we are opening a center bridging the gap between general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering non-life-threatening urgent care for pets in need.

This role is ideal for:

• Emergency veterinarians ready to step away from the intensity of overnight or high-acuity ER shifts.
• Experienced general practitioners eager to broaden their scope in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Newer veterinarians seeking hands-on experience outside of general practice, with growth opportunities in a supportive culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Interest in urgent care, emergency medicine, or building clinical confidence
• Strong diagnostic skills with an adaptable, thoughtful approach to patient care
• Excellent communication with clients and support staff
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts
