About this role
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment within the assigned asset.
What You Will Do
- Operate production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions.
- Achieve and maintain pressure and volume targets.
- Conduct regular surveillance of automated production operations, and general maintenance.
- Perform shutdown and startup of equipment.
- Conduct daily rounds and monitoring of facilities, and identification of operational problems.
- Responsible for lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work.
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. - Monitor SCADA equipment and report issues using the work order system.
- Perform general building maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete work and basic construction
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
- Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- May be required to work non-traditional hours.
- Callout and unscheduled overtime is required, and anticipated.
- Required to carry a company-provided cell phone/pager and be available to respond during working hours and non-working hours.
- Other daily, weekly and monthly duties, and special projects as assigned.
What You Need
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
EXPERIENCE / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
- Industrial process understanding or ability to quickly obtain from hands on experience and training from other employees
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Subject to random drug testing.
- Must pass applicable Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks, as required.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other assigned computer programs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to work from written or verbal instructions.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules.
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, maintain confidentiality as necessary, and work effectively with limited supervision.
- Must be highly self-motivated, dependable, and punctual.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds, waist high, on a frequent basis.
- Physical requirements include and are not limited to:
- Walk up and down stairs/ladders, sometimes to elevated platforms;
- Negotiate uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces;
- Standing and/or sitting for extended periods, including but not limited to inside work for training, working on computer
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Callout and unscheduled overtime is required and anticipated.
- Work schedule is subject to shift work, including but not limited to alternating days, nights, holidays, weekends.
- Emergency response, call-out, and on-call availability is required and anticipated.
- Candidate must reside within 30 minutes of the office.
- Travel is required and anticipated; a company vehicle is assigned for this job.
- Must be able to work outside in varying, sometimes extreme, weather conditions.
- Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets.
- The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and complete a background check, including motor vehicle record and credit check (as applicable to the position), after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
PREFERRED Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
- Associates or technical degree is a plus
- 1 year or more experience in operations or maintenance of gas processing plants and equipment
Pay Range
USD $35.00 - USD $53.00 /Hr.
