Summary: The Building Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the meat processing facility and all supporting equipment. This role performs mechanical repairs, building upkeep, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, and emergency response tasks to minimize downtime and support smooth plant operations.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
Inspect, repair, install, and maintain building systems, production equipment, and conveyors to meet operational and safety standards.
Perform repairs related to plumbing, electrical fixtures, lighting, painting, and general facility upkeep
Complete Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks in the computer‑based maintenance system.
Maintain departmental tools, power equipment, and spare‑parts inventory. [1]
Mechanical & Technical Functions
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and lubrication instructions.
Use measuring tools for pressure, volume, and system continuity checks.
Perform pneumatic and hydraulic hose connections and mechanical troubleshooting.
Safety & Compliance
Follow safety requirements including LOTO, fall protection, hot work permitting, and powered industrial truck rules.
