Material Handling (Production Control) 2nd shift

Summary/Purpose

Will support production control activities that follow policies and procedures related to successful manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

• Responsible for verifying labels on containers and matching the description on packing slip.
• This position will support the manufacturing lines, possibly as a water spider.
• Support JASC shipping and receiving systems
• Inspect shipments
• Ability to load and unload trucks
• Maintain the flow of materials to all areas of manufacturing efficiently
• Able to work in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Forklift, walkie stacker, and tugger experience is preferred
• Able to frequently lift
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving system
• Material handling experience and knowledge
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Flexible working hours, ability to work overtime (which may include weekends or holidays) as needed per business need
• Able to learn and operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001 standard, safety/environmental, 5S (housekeeping) and productivity.
• Able to perform in a team environment and support company policies
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and ergonomics’ oriented
• Ability to understand and demonstrate standard work.
• Proficient English communication skills.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.
• Will be required to do the following throughout the shift: standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulders, moving left to right repetitively, grasping, and fine finger dexterity. 
• May be required to lift during shift up to 40 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
