Description

An Installer job typically involves measuring, cutting, and installing stone/granite countertops and other stone surfaces in both residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities include preparing the installation area, ensuring accurate measurements, and adhering to safety standards. The role also often involves customer communication and ensuring client satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Install granite countertops, backsplashes, and other stone surfaces in residential and commercial buildings. 

Measurement and Cutting: Measure and cut granite to fit the installation area, often using precise tools and techniques. 

Preparation: Prepare the installation area by leveling surfaces and ensuring proper support. 

Securing: Ensure countertops are properly secured to cabinets or bases. 

Cleanup: Clean up the installation area and remove debris. 

Communication: Communicate with clients to address concerns and ensure satisfaction. 

Safety: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines. 

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues. 

Additional Responsibilities:

Material Handling: Load and transport granite slabs to the job site. 

Material Inspection: Inspect granite slabs for defects before fabrication. 

Design Layout: Assist in designing and creating layouts and dimensions for countertop installations. 

Fabrication: May be involved in basic fabrication tasks like cutting and shaping granite.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using tools for cutting, measuring, and installing granite. 

Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and accuracy to ensure a high-quality installation. 

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and handle heavy granite slabs. 

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other team members. 

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process. 

Prior Experience: Previous experience in countertop installation or a related trade is often preferred.
