The Landscaper is responsible for providing quality maintenance of assigned grounds and providing acceptable curb appeal. Maintains the beautification of the outside grounds, which may involve the use of ladders, pruners, chainsaws, and other equipment. The Landscaper will travel to properties across our portfolio as needed, including locations throughout Massachusetts, Northern Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire.
What you'll do:
- Plant and/or prune shrubs, plants, trees, and flowers
- Dig post holes for signs and fences
- Maintain grass/lawns; ensure proper irrigation and fertilization.
- Ensure proper irrigation of shrubs, grass, flowers, and trees
- Clean gutters
- Set railroad ties
- Repair/replace fencing.
- Safely operate and maintain power equipment per manufacturer instructions
- Monitor and work with outside contractors and suppliers.
- Assist in emergency flood situations as needed.
- Assist on truck deliveries as requested.
Required education/experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience. Demonstrated knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes. Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, pruners, chainsaws and other landscaping equipment. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Ability to pass background screening, Drug and Alcohol screening and Physical and Agility tests at time of hire and throughout employment.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
The posted salary range represents the full range of experience levels for the position. Candidates with extensive relevant experience (i.e. 20+ years) may qualify for compensation near the top of the range, while those with less experience may fall at another point within the range.
